Born and raised in Seaside, Oregon, Ashley graduated cum laude from Oregon State University in 2007 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Spanish minor. While at Oregon State, Ashley participated in Camp Adventure Youth Services allowing her to work for 3 summers in Sagamihara, Japan; Osnabruck, Germany; and Beijing, China.
Ashley then went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Willamette University Law School in 2011. While at Willamette, Ashley participated in a summer study abroad program earning a certificate in Chinese Law from the East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, China.
Ashley is an active member of the Seaside community. Serving as Board Chair of the Sunset Park and Recreation Foundation and President of the Seaside Rotary Club. Ashley also coaches middle school basketball and participates in other community activities and events.
